A Passion for Technology...
A Desire to Make a Difference.

I crave technology.  I have been programming since I was twelve years old.  It started on a TRS-80 when my father's partner purchased the 1st personal computer that I ever saw.  My eyes opened wide...  my heart pounded.  I wanted to see what made it tick.  After much convincing with my father, I was allowed the opportunity to begin my life-long dream of designing and developing software.

Since then, my life has been paved with numerous opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive as a programmer, a manager, a Database Administrator, a Chief Technology Officer, and even a business owner.  What I cherish most about technology is that I have seen its birth (at least with PCs), it's toddler-stage (lots of failures and falls), and now reaching its phase as a teenager (awkward, but starting to take shape).

I view the meaning of Life as growth, learning, and making a difference.
It's not about fear of what might happen -- but about determining how I can best serve others.

Starta Development

My life really pivoted when I founded my second company, Starta Development.  I had incorporated Eagle Vision Software Technologies, Inc.
in 1996 so that I could do what I loved to do -create business solutions by developing leading-edge software applications.  I loved my job, but I needed more.  I needed to serve something that was greater than just me.  That's when the idea emerged.

It started during a dinner conversation with my father who developed apartments for low-income and elderly tenants.  My father wanted to increase production of his growing business without increasing costs or headcount. He asked me if I could build... and then described a vision that ultimately became Starta Development.  This opportunity enabled me to combine my love for technology with my desire to help others.  Through the challenges and the exciting times, this experience has truly been a blessing for me.
